Terms and Conditions of the Western Foreshore Parking Permit

  1. The Western Foreshore Parking Permit has been introduced as a trial only for a 12 month period between 1 December 2018 and 30 November 2019.
  2. There is no guarantee that Council will introduce a Western Foreshore Parking Permit on a permanent basis. 
  3. All documents required in Part 7 – “Documentation and Identification Required” section of the Application Form must be submitted with your application.
  4. Incomplete applications or those who do not submit all requested supporting documents will not be processed.
  5. Only one Western Foreshore Parking Permit will be issued per property. No exceptions. 
  6. If the property is a permanent rental, only the tenant is eligible to apply for a Western Foreshore Parking Permit. 
  7. If more than one application is received per property due to multiple owners, Council will conduct a ballot to allocate the Western Foreshore Parking Permit.  
  8. Western Foreshore Parking Permits are issued for residential purposes only.
  9. The vehicle number plate will be displayed on each Western Foreshore Parking Permit.
  10. The Western Foreshore Parking Permit is not transferable between vehicles. No exception. 
  11. The Western Foreshore Parking Permit must be displayed on the passenger side of the dashboard of the vehicle. It must not be displayed under the tint of the windscreen or otherwise obscured.
  12. The Western Foreshore Parking Permit is only valid in the Pittwater Park carpark (north), Palm Beach. 
  13. The Western Foreshore Parking Permit is not valid in any other car parking area within the Northern Beaches Local Government Area.
  14. A maximum stay of 21 consecutive days applies to all vehicles displaying a Western Foreshore Parking Permit in the Pittwater Park carpark (north).
  15. There is no guarantee of a parking space in the Pittwater Park carpark (north).
  16. Your vehicle must have current registration, be roadworthy and not present a hazard to the public or the environment.
  17. Western Foreshore Parking Permits are only available for passenger vehicles. Boats, caravans, motorcycles, heavy vehicles and trailers are not eligible for a Western Foreshore Parking Permit.
  18. Western Foreshore Parking Permits will not be replaced if lost or misplaced during the 12 month trial period between 1 December 2018 and 30 November 2019.
  19. If the vehicle is sold or transferred at any time during the 12 month trial period, then copies of all paperwork relating to the sale or transfer of the vehicle must be submitted to Council, as well as the previously issued Western Foreshore Parking Permit before a replacement Western Foreshore Parking Permit can be issued.  
  20. If any false or misleading information is provided to Council during the 12 month trial of the Western Foreshore Parking Permit, then that property will not be eligible for a permit if the scheme is introduced on a permanent basis. 
  21. Council’s decision in the allocation of Western Foreshore Parking Permits, valid only in the Pittwater Park carpark (north), is final. If you feel that you have valid concerns relating to the process, please put your concerns in writing to transport@northernbeaches.nsw.gov.au
