The Manly Environment Centre (MEC) promotes sustainable living through practical projects and workshops in partnership with the Coastal Environment Centre and Kimbriki Resource Recovery Center.

In addition the MEC works with our local schools and businesses to facilitate environmental action for the whole of the Northern Beaches.

The Manly Environment Centre is temporarily located on Level 2 of Manly Library.

MEC experts

On various days, specialist staff will be at the Manly Environment Centre to answer your questions relating to their area of expertise.

  • Sue Jacobs, Senior Environment Officer – Catchment
    Sue has a Bachelor of Science Degree in natural resource management and has worked for Council for over 15 years. Sue can talk with you about our waterways and lagoons, as well as other general aspects of our natural environment and how we manage it.
