Council is taking measured precautions to keep our staff and community safe. Rockpools are open. Please exercise 1.5m social distancing, and wash hands regularly. Gatherings of more than 20 people are not permitted. View the latest updates on what is permitted from the NSW Government.
The world famous Northern Beaches rockpools are great places to cool down or do a few laps.
Council sometimes closes rockpools due to rough seas, for renovations or cleaning. Pools will reopen once sufficient water has entered the pool, this normally occurs after the next high tide.
Northern Beaches Council and Beachwatch NSW recommend you avoid swimming for three days after heavy rain.
Schools, nippers, swimming lessons, annual swim club events and other small events are able to book a rockpool
Pool Cleaning Roster

The pool cleaning roster can change at any time due to unusual weather circumstances or pool conditions.
Please note published times in the roster are subject to change depending on weather, prevailing seas, tidal flows and other surf conditions. The time taken to fill a pool after cleaning on any given day can vary and is dependent on the weather and surf conditions. A sign will be placed at the pool indicating it is closed during the filling process and will be removed as soon as possible once pool is full.
