We’re going digital!

Manly parking permits are going digital in 2026.

The new digital system will replace physical permits and will link permits to vehicle registrations, simplifying the application and renewal process.

The Manly Parking Permit Scheme Framework aims to improve parking for residents and other users in locations where there is insufficient off-street parking and where on-street parking is restricted.

If you have a current physical permit, you will be notified before it expires about how and when to apply for your digital permit. Some physical permits do not expire until later in 2026 and will be valid until that time.

Permit types

Under this scheme you can apply for the following permits:

  • residential
  • multi-use
  • business
  • support worker
  • special issue
  • car share permits.

Eligibility

Residents, businesses, support workers, car share vehicles, charities, volunteers and not for profit services located within an existing Manly parking permit scheme area may be eligible.

Eligibility for each permit type is defined in the Manly Parking Permit Scheme Framework and listed under each permit type below.

Permits will not be issued for motor homes (MH body type), trucks, boats, buses, caravans, trailers or tractors.

Permit use

Permits are linked to a scheme area and are only valid within the scheme area listed on the permit. View the map >

They do not replace the Beach Parking Permit or paid parking requirements.

Cost

Permit fees are listed in Council’s fees and charges and are reviewed annually.
