Council provides property owners and residents with parking permits for selected residential streets, foreshore and reserve parking areas.  

We’re going digital! We are introducing a digital system for all parking permits.

The new digital system will replace physical parking permits and will link permits to vehicle registrations. That means no more lost or damaged stickers, a reduction in the misuse of permits, less plastic waste and ultimately a financial saving for ratepayers.  

This move to digital parking permits is being done in a staged way as permits expire. Existing permit holders will receive instructions on how and when to apply for a new permit in advance of the expiry of their current permits.
