2024 marks 100 years of public collecting at MAG&M.

To celebrate, we are presenting a series of three special collection exhibitions throughout the year to illuminate the incredible diversity and significance of this public collection. We take a deeper dive into the stories behind many of the works and share unique insights into one of the first public regional gallery collections in NSW.

Built through the generosity of philanthropists, artists, donors and member groups, we make visible the important role they have played in the development of this valuable community asset to the cultural life of our region, city, state and nation.

A series of four masterclasses by artists represented in the MAG&M collection, held from March - October 2024 will be announced soon. We will also be unveiling a major acquisition which become a centrepiece of MAG&M’s collection.
 

Collection 100 Appeal

To celebrate 100 years of public collecting at the Manly Art Gallery & Museum (MAG&M), we need your support to reach our funding goal of $30,000 to commission a major work by contemporary Australian artist Jude Rae. Find out how you can support the appeal here.
