The annual Environmental Art & Design Prize showcases innovative and thought-provoking works that explore the theme of the environment, with an aim to inspire action toward a sustainable future.

Open to artists and designers of all levels and backgrounds from across Australia, including young people aged 7 to 18 years, this year’s prize money has increased. The visual arts and design winners will each receive an impressive $20,000, and the People’s Choice and the young artist / designer winners will receive $3,000 across the category and venues.

The 2024 judges are renowned experts in their field, fashion designer Genevieve Smart (Ginger & Smart), industrial designer Trent Jansen and visual artist Khaled Sabsabi.

Prize winners will be announced on Thursday 1 August at 6.30pm at Manly Art Gallery & Museum. 

Exhibition

The finalists will exhibit their work from Friday 2 to Sunday 25 August across the Northern Beaches at the following locations. Please note, Manly Art Gallery & Museum is closed Mondays.
