Terms and Conditions of the Western Foreshore Parking Permit
- The Western Foreshore permits are valid for 12 months from application date in vPermit. The permits are not active until payment is made, either online or in person.
- A parking permit will be auto approved in vPermit when a resident scans the address of a valid Driver Licence that matches the property address. Other documents can be submitted for manual verification and will be approved or rejected at Council’s discretion.
- Only one Western Foreshore Parking Permit will be issued per property. No exceptions.
- If the property is a permanent rental, only the tenant is eligible to apply for a Western Foreshore Parking Permit.
- Western Foreshore Parking Permits are issued6y for residential purposes only.
- Up to two vehicle registration numbers can be linked to a Western Foreshore permit, with only one registration number able to be active at any one time. An upper limit to the number of changes between registration numbers applies to all permit holders. It is the responsibility of the permit holder to make sure that any change between registration numbers is done in vPermit and that the correct vehicle is active.
- The Western Foreshore Parking Permit is only valid in the Pittwater Park carpark (North), Palm Beach(Opens in a new window).
- The Western Foreshore Parking Permit is not valid in any other car parking area within the Northern Beaches Council Local Government Area.
- A maximum stay of 21 consecutive days applies to all vehicles holding a Western Foreshore Parking Permit in the Pittwater Park carpark (north).
- There is no guarantee of a parking space in the Pittwater Park carpark (north).
- Your vehicle must have current registration, be roadworthy and not present a hazard to the public or the environment.
- Western Foreshore Parking Permits are only available for passenger vehicles. Boats, caravans, motorcycles, heavy vehicles, scooters, tractors and trailers are not eligible for a Western Foreshore Parking Permit.
- If the vehicle is sold or transferred at any time during the permit period, permit holders are responsible for entering their new authorised vehicle registration numbers into vPermit. An upper limit to the number of changes between registration numbers applies to all permit holders.
- If any false or misleading information is provided to Council of the Western Foreshore Parking Permit, then that property will not be eligible for a permit in the future, and the parking permit will be cancelled with immediate effect.
- Permit holders are responsible for renewing their own permits. A reminder or notification email is sent to the registered permit holder by vPermit fourteen (14) days before the permit expiry date.
- Council’s decision in the allocation of Western Foreshore Parking Permits, valid only in the Pittwater Park carpark (north), is final. If you feel that you have valid concerns relating to the process, please put your concerns in writing to transport@northernbeaches.nsw.gov.au.
- Northern Beaches Council reserves the right to cancel existing permits where behaviour is detected that is considered a misuse of the system or a breach of the Terms and Conditions relating to the relevant permit type.
- Parking permits are non-refundable. However, in certain circumstances where there has been an error in the application process, Council may consider a refund. In this instance, an explanation needs to be provided through a Statutory declaration.
