As part of the NSW Government’s ongoing commitment to effective regulation of gaming machines, the Gaming Machines Regulation 2019 comes into effect on 1 September 2019.

Provides confidential counselling, referral and support to people experiencing gambling related problems. Provides assistance with financial, legal and face-to-face counselling for gamblers, their families and friends. Multilingual crisis counselling also available.

A nationwide initiative providing live chat counselling and email support to anyone affected by a gambling problem. The website also provides a community forum, self-help tools and information for gamblers, significant others as well as professionals regarding gambling concerns. Local Services

Co-dependents Anonymous (CoDA) Support Groups

The CoDA program is based on an adapted version of the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. CoDA is a non-profit organisation with no fees for membership. Each group is fully self-supporting by voluntary donations from its members. A local group meets at Cromer Community Centre.

GambleAware Northern Sydney

Offers free face-to-face, online or telephone counselling and financial counselling services for people impacted by their own gambling or the gambling of others. Gamblers Anonymous

No fees for membership, each group is fully self-supporting by voluntary contributions from its members. View the meeting schedule (including the local meeting group in Manly Vale).

Provides a problem gambling support group to help individuals understand their gambling and develop effective management techniques.

Services include assessment, counselling, gambling counselling, psychotherapy, information, education and support for family members of people with gambling problems. Operated by NSW Health.
