There are many services that can assist to provide meal delivery or drop-in, low cost food and shopping help for those in need. For detailed information about Northern Beaches community services, organisations and groups refer to Council's Community Directory.

Low cost home meal delivery

Meals on Wheels (Manly area) – 8495 5010
Monday to Friday
Council provides a Meals on Wheels service delivering hot, cold and frozen meals to people who live within the perimeters of Manly, Seaforth and Curl Curl. Those eligible are those aged 65 years or over, or aged 50 years or over and identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

Monday to Friday
Hot and frozen home delivered meals to those areas on the Northern Beaches not serviced by the Council service. Those eligible are the frail/aged, have a disability, or care for someone who is frail/aged or has a disability.

A hot food mobile service also operates for rough sleepers on Tuesday nights from Narrabeen to Manly and Frenchs Forest.

Offers the opportunity for migrants to attain groceries and assistance. Must be registered at their website.

The Link Community Care - 9999 0475
By appointment Tuesday to Friday or Thursday 6.30pm-8pm
Offers low-cost groceries and food supplies for those on low incomes. Clients must be registered with Centrelink (during the current Sydney lockdown (2021) this can be assessed case by case). 

A drive through hamper service is available for $10 (Centrelink not required) which includes a bag of staple groceries and two freshly made meals (sponsored by Pittwater RSL).

Food donations

Accepting canned food and non-perishable donations. Please visit the Facebook Page for information regarding drop off locations.

Accepting canned and non perishable food donations. Donation drop off accepted Tuesdays 9am-2pm or Wednesdays 8:30am-1pm.

Street Mission Cafe
Accepting canned and non perishable food donations, as well as some perishables that have a reasonable shelf life (e.g. would accept bread but not milk). Donations to go out at weekly Wednesday and Saturday evening cafes. Assistance with shopping

MWP Care (formerly MWP Community Aid) - 9913 3244
Offers shop by list or escorted shopping for older residents (65+). Transport for medical appointments also available.

CCNB - Stay Well Stay Connected
