Please note: Due to safety issues following recent heavy rains the lake at Manly Dam will remain closed until further notice.

Water Skiing

A section of the lake is available for authorised water skiing booked through the Manly Warringah Water Ski Club.

To see the booking calendar or to book a water skiing session, please visit the Manly & Warringah Water Ski Club’s website www.mwwaterskiclub.com.au or email mwwaterskibookings@gmail.com

All other motorised craft are prohibited.

Fishing

Manly Dam is popular with novice fishers. Section 4 near the wetlands is thought to be the best fishing spot. The dam is stocked regularly with Australian bass, however other species that may be caught are silver perch, carp and redfin. A NSW Recreational Fishing License is required and rules and regulations apply (see link below). To prevent harm to our resident wildlife, please ensure all hooks, lines, etc. are collected and taken with you when you leave.

Swimming and Kayaking

The section of water between picnic areas 2 and 3 is a dedicated water skiing area and is prohibited for swimming and non-motorised water activities during the approved water skiing times. Please use designated swimming areas indicated by buoys and signs during the approved water skiing times. These times can be viewed in the document listed below.

Dogs

  • Dogs are not permitted in the picnic areas, internal roads, carparks and the lake (waterbody) at any time.
  • Penalties apply.
