Four picnic areas provide a variety of settings, including grassy, lakeside or bushland. There are many tables to choose from and are perfect for family outings, birthday parties or any casual occasion.
- Section 1 - provides an open grassed area by the lakeside and features the War Memorial, children's playground, electric barbecues, and swimming access.
- Section 2 - provides a smaller more intimate setting, with wood-fired barbecues, nestled in the bush directly adjacent to the water. Note: no swimming access.
- Section 3 - is the largest picnic area with a variety of bushland settings, featuring beach like access to the lake, wood-fired barbecues, and swimming access.
- Section 4 - provides a mid-size picnic area with direct access to the park's circuit track. It opens out to the lake, with wood-fired barbecues and swimming access.
To reserve your preferred table, simply fill out the booking form and email it to us. Please note that a picnic table booking is non-transferable and non-refundable. When leaving picnic areas please place your rubbish in the garbage and recycling bins located in the carparks or take it home with you.
Firewood, when available, is provided for use in the wood-fired barbecues. Rangers make every effort to gather firewood but supply cannot be guaranteed. Please use supplies sparingly. Visitors are asked to not bring charcoal heat beads into the park. Please note that on TOTAL FIRE BAN days, the use of fire (including wood and/or portable gas) barbecues is prohibited and only the electric barbecues in Section 1 can be used.
Dogs are not permitted in the picnic areas, the internal road, carparks, or the water at any time.
