The Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a formal commitment to reconciliation. It documents how our early learning services will strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities in the learning environments, around the service and with the community.

In consultation with Narragunnawali Reconcilation in Education, Northern Beaches Council Children’s Services established a RAP working group in 2018. This group held meetings to develop the RAP through 2018 and then in June 2019 they attended a workshop with Caroline Glass-Pattison, a proud Wiradjuri, Dungutti woman, living on Gai-mariagal Country and Karen Smith from the Buruberongal clan of the Derrubin area and Education Officer with the Aboriginal Heritage office where the actions and deliverables of the RAP were finalised.

In August 2019 our first RAP was published on the Narragunnawali website.

The Northern Beaches Council Children’s Services RAP is reviewed and updated annually.
