Councillor David Walton has served our community as a Councillor since 2017 and previously as a Police Officer and Detective, where he served as the Commander of the Northern Beaches Local Area Command.
Councillor Walton has 20+ years’ experience on commercial and NSW Government Boards. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, having completed the Company Directors Course and undertook the Corporate Governance Program at the Harvard Business School in the United States. Councillor Walton holds a Bachelor of Business and Master of Leadership and Management.
Within the Northern Beaches community, Councillor Walton has previously served as the Deputy President of Queenscliff SLSC, Deputy Chairman of the Special Olympics Sydney Northern Beaches and President of Manly Swimming Club.
Councillor Walton has been awarded the National Medal, the NSW Police Medal, the National Police Medal, a Commissioner’s Commendation and was twice awarded the Commissioner’s Unit Citation.
