Fox Wardrobes design, manufacture and install cabinetry for homes across the Beaches and beyond.

Doing the right thing for the environment was always a focus for the family-run operation, but initially they didn’t know where to begin.  Fast forward to a Sustainability Business Network networking event and meeting Council’s Sustainability team, and the resultant waste audit saw them divert an initial $8k of manufacturing waste from landfill.

From their first steps to a more sustainable business, they were hooked and ever since have been exploring ways to reduce waste, use recycled products and reduce emissions.

Fox have also partnered with their suppliers to recycle and reuse products – particularly particle board – an industry.  Today they harness the power of solar and store it in a battery and are exploring updating their fleet to electric -powered.

With a growing workforce, circular economy principles are a daily part of life at their factory with composting and rubbish recycling a shared responsibility for everyone.
