About this activity

Pointillism is a painting technique first developed by artists Georges Seurat and Paul Signac in Paris, France in the mid-1880s. Pointillism uses pure points of colour, or dots, placed next to each other to create a whole image. Up close the dots can look like hundreds and thousands but when you examine it from a distance, your eyes are able to blend the dots together and capture the whole image.
