ARTDECKO is open to entrants between the ages of 12 to 17 years and 18 to 24 years who are residents of the Northern Beaches Local Government Area only.
Allocated stock for each age category is limited and entries are subject to availability.
Steps to enter
1. Registration
Register and pay the $40 entry (+booking fee) for your ARTDECKO pack (consisting of a skate deck, some Posca Pens, an ARTDECKO t-shirt and access to online resources).
Each entrant must complete a separate entry form (however payment for siblings can be made in the one transaction).
Registration has now closed.
2. Delivery and design
You will get your pack delivered to you. Due to the nature of the project, no refunds will be provided following delivery of the ARTDECKO package.
From then on, let your imagination take over. However, designs must be suitable for viewing by all age groups and non-discriminatory (the decision of appropriateness is final and not the subject of appeal).
3. Take a photo of your design
Please review the criteria on taking your skate deck submission photo:
- Can be landscape or portrait orientation.
- Placed on a light coloured surface.
- Taken in focus with good lighting (but not overexposed).
- Smart phone quality is fine.
- Does not have to show the whole board (note: we may crop you image for the exhibition if we need to).
- JPG format (submission will require to be under 10MB).
The photo must meet exhibition expectations in line with the example photos below.
4. Submit your photo
To be in the running for any awards and prizes submit your entry before 5pm Sunday 24 October 2021 - but the earlier you submit your photo the more chances you have to win the weekly prizes.
Photos will be loaded into the online exhibition within 24hrs.
Online exhibition, prizes and People's Choice
Your finished deck could also be highlighted on our Instagram page @keepalookoutfor or our partner organisations' pages at the end of every week.
The online exhibition will run to the end October. People's Choice voting will now be during the last two weeks of the exhibition - 18 to 31 October 2021. Let your friends, family, neighbours - anyone! know for your chance to win.
