Young Creators, Start Rolling!

If you’re aged 12–24 and love storytelling, filmmaking, acting, or just playing around with creative ideas, each year we give you the chance to show your skills and have some fun. With a prize pool of over $3,000 and thousands more in industry prizes (thanks to Premier Sponsors Canon, Miller Tripods and Screenwise). The comp gives you the chance to create something amazing and see it on the big screen. This year's films were hosted HOYTS Warringah Mall.

Here’s how it works

Teams or solo creators have 4 days to create a short film (up to 7 minutes). You’ll need to include some secret rules – a mystery item, phrase, and keyword – that are revealed just before. Films are judged by a panel with the best films scoring a spot at the Finals & Awards Night screening.

Whether you're a director, scriptwriting genius, natural-born actor, or just keen to try something new, this is your moment. It’s all about your story, your voice, your creativity. First time filming or already a filmmaking pro — everyone’s welcome.
