What’s proposed?

Manly Warringah Football Association (MWFA) has a long-standing history, being established approximately in 1947, and has strong connection to the local community. It is the governing body for football (soccer) in the Northern Beaches Local Government Area. The MWFA is a member of Football NSW and Football Federation Australia. 

MWFA is family oriented; it provides a vital service to the community and hosts a variety of football competitions and leagues. Its primary goal is to promote sporting, youth training activities and public recreation.

To support the operation while the existing licence is due to expire in December 2023, MWFA wish to continue licensing the Crown land, sports amenities building and grandstand for the purpose of sport and associate recreation activities.

Council is the Crown Land Manager of Cromer Park (R89291) Reserve and is required to give public notice of its intention to grant a 10 year licence with an option term of 10 years for the continue occupation of part of the land and buildings, located at South Creek Road Cromer (Part Lots 1-3 DP1138960). Notice is provided in accordance with the Crown Land Management Act 2016 and Section 70 of the Crown Land Management Regulation 2018.

The granting of the licence is subject to Council’s final approval.
