Everywhere and Nowhere: Tracing Collective Memory marks Penelope Blunsden's debut solo exhibition, a body of work exploring the ephemeral landscapes of memory and personal histories. Drawing on family archives - carefully selected film slides, disposable camera sleeves, and digital photographs - Blunsden crafts a quiet meditation on how memories are stored, revisited, and reshaped over time.

To stand before these works is to witness a deeply personal yet universally resonant act of remembrance - a glimpse into the shifting terrain of memory. They speak to the emotional distance between a real landscape, a photograph, and a memory; between lived experience and longing. Her small-scale works intimately depict ambiguous landscapes, removed of recognisable figures. These distant places seem almost escapist - an act of yearning for a memory that is both anywhere and nowhere.
