24/7 Youth Film Festival is a short film competition for young people aged 12 – 24 in which participants have just 24 hours to make a 7 minute short film.

Launch night and film making workshop
Find out everything you need to know to make a short film in less than 24 hours. Hear from previous year’s winners, our expert videography consultant and get hands on with an introductory workshop to support your visual storytelling.
Competition weekend
The challenge is on! Teams have 24 hours to make a 7 minute (or less) film and include various items, locations, phrases and a secret rule in their film. On the Saturday, you will find out the secret rules that have to be included in your film which must be submitted by Sunday 10am. All eligible films go in the running to win some fantastic prizes!
Teams must register ($50 per team) and complete indemnity forms for each member to confirm entry into the festival.
Screenings
All film entries that meet the criteria are screened at over two nights. Watch the 7 minute films created by local young film-makers in less than 24 hours on the silver screen - bring along your family and friends and make a night of it!
Finals & awards night
The top 10 films as judged by industry professionals will be screened at the finals and awards night and battle it out for best film (along with a number of other categories) and thousands of dollars worth of prizes! This event is free and open to the public so bring along your family and friends and vote for your favourite finalist.
