What goes in your blue bin?
- Boxes - flattened or ripped with tape and plastic removed
- Cardboard - clean and dry
- Egg cartons
- Envelopes - plastic windows can be left on
- Flyers
- Magazines
- Newspaper
- Paper - any staples can be left on
- Pizza boxes - some grease and oil is OK, but no food scraps
- Shredded paper contained in a box or paper bag
- Tissue boxes
- Toilet paper rolls
Bin it red instead
- Single-use coffee cups (lids and cups)
- Paper and cardboard - soiled
- Wax-coated paper/cardboard, greaseproof paper and baking paper
- Tissues and paper towels
- Food waste
- Shopping receipts (thermal printed paper cannot be recycled)
- Bubble wrap
- Plastic bags
Tips
- No batteries or gas canisters - they can cause fires and injuries
