Covid-19 - Earlier start time update
Our waste contractors URM, amongst others, have been required to meet their obligations towards implementing mitigation measures to reduce the risks of COVID-19 to their employees which have meant earlier start times than 6am. As restrictions ease we’re working with our contractor to return to normal start times as soon as possible, while continuing to ensure the safety of staff and the community.
Every week Northern Beaches rubbish collection services come around to empty bins on your street. Recycling is collected either weekly or on alternate weeks and vegetation fortnightly depending on your address. We also have a fleet of brand new trucks with the latest technology, reducing emissions and fully enclosed hoppers to prevent litter and reduce odour.
- Place bins out the night before collection day and bring them in within 24 hours
- Bins should be on the kerb, at least 20cm apart and lid openings facing the street
- Items must be in the bins with the lids closed to avoid windblown litter, spillage when emptying bins and foraging from birds and other animals
If you need to report a missed service or have any other issues with your waste service please visit the waste online help centre using the button below.
