Stallholder space is limited and applications will be assessed against the criteria outlined below. Council is seeking stallholders to fulfill the following requirements:

  • Up to x10 Community Groups (on any of the topics mentioned above, including EV buyers groups, community solar etc.).
  • Up to x20 Solar PV and battery suppliers

Council may review the total number of stallholders at any time throughout the planning phase of the event, but not after approval has been granted and applicants have paid.

Each allocated stallholder will have a 3x3m Marquee space with access to power (if applicable). Stallholders must have a stall; they can either order one through the Council for a small fee or supply their own (including marquee and other equipment such as tables and chairs). However, approval for the appearance and structural safety of independent stalls is required before granting approval.

  • To be eligible as a stallholder, applicants must, at a minimum, meet the following requirements in their submission and demonstrate these:
  • An understanding of net zero (including Council’s community targets);
    to be able to explain and promote the benefits of taking action towards reaching net zero in the community either residential or business, specifically to address the call to actions as mentioned above;
  • to present a minimum of 1 local case study (that can be shared via Council’s webpage either before or after the expo) in relation to your chosen topic(s).
    • knowledge and experience of one or more of the topics mentioned in the Scope and Eligibility:
    • cost benefits ($ and environmental);
    • range of options currently available in the market;
    • end of life for item/product;
    • Funding available;
    • Legislative requirements (where applicable – e.g. Solar suppliers requirement to be approved by the Clean Energy Council etc.).
  • A person is not eligible to be a stallholder if they are:
    • A councillor, or
    • A nominee for election as a councillor, or
    • An administrator, or
    • A person who has a conviction for an indictable offence that is not an expired conviction.
  • Provide a plan of proposed stall set up/content (1 page document), including how your service / stall will assist Council in reaching its net zero and/or solar targets - ideally with examples of previous experience;
  • Provide a summary of how your stall (information providing to the public) will be assisting to meet Council’s Community net zero and / or solar targets – what is your call to action (get solar, go electric, purchase an EV/E bike etc.). Council will then use this information to create a poster which each stall holder will be required to display on their stall throughout the event, demonstrating to the public how their action (via stallholders call to action) can make difference to contributing to Council’s community targets. Further information about the poster will be provided to the successful stallholders closer to the time.
