A Section 603 Certificate (Local Government Act 1993) advises the amount (if any) due or payable to Council by way of rates, charges or otherwise outstanding on a property.
These are most often required during the sale of a property. Solicitors, real estate agents and members of the public can make an application to Council for a certificate by completing the Section 603 form and paying the required fee.
The usual processing time for a s603 certificate is between 1-3 working days from the date of payment.
Apply for a Section 603 certificate
There are two ways of applying for a Section 603.
Council's online self-service form allows you to lodge and pay for a Section 603 application online. The page also contains a guide on how to submit an application online.
Complete the Section 603 Application Form PDF and lodge your request via mail, in person or email.
- In person – by cash, cheque or payment card at Council's Customer Service Centres
- By mail – send cheque made payable to Northern Beaches Council, post with your application to PO Box 82 Manly NSW 1655
- By email – to firstname.lastname@example.org
$95 for each Section 603 certificate. GST is not applicable.
