The lighting around your outdoor pools at Manly Andrew ‘Boy’ Charlton Aquatic Centre is getting a much-needed upgrade this winter.

We're replacing all existing light poles and installing 2 new light poles to provide greater light distribution and improve visibility for swimmers and our lifeguards who ensure their safety.

All globes will also be replaced with more energy efficient LED lights.

The outdoor pools and the surrounding area will be closed for 3 weeks for the works, from Monday 21 July to Sunday 10 August 2025, weather permitting.

Outdoor pool opening times and lane availability will also be restricted from Monday 11 August to Wednesday 13 August 2025. 

Swimmers can continue training in the indoor 25 metre pool or check lane availability at the Warringah Aquatic Centre.

Alternatively, you could swap the pool for a workout at our fitness centre or join a fun group fitness class.
