Steeped in history, Heritage listed Currawong operated for 60 years as a union workers' holiday camp. The original homestead built by Dr. Bernard Stiles in 1917, along with ten other cottages, now provide a home away from home for so many more families. 

Currawong offers you a unique experience because it can only be accessed by water.

Currawong Lodge is perfect for small school and community group camps. The venue can be set up dormitory style leaving two private rooms for group leaders. Located in a bush setting away from holiday accommodation, the lodge can be set up for corporate meetings of up to 25 people.

Currawong is the perfect place to host a retreat. Ideal for writers, artists even yoga retreats, its peace and tranquility, the natural beauty all around make this a truly inspiring environment. And Currawongs variety of indoor and outdoor spaces offer many flexible options.

Currawong’s unspoiled beauty makes it an ideal location for professional filming and photography.

Being Heritage Listed, you’ll need to submit an application to Council.  Fill in the filming application form and we’ll take it from there.

Transport Information

Currawong can only be accessed by water. You can take a 25 minute ferry ride from Palm Beach Wharf on Barrenjoey Road, or a Water Taxi.
