If you’re a parent of young person and need information or support email the Community Development Team. We can provide referrals to organisations and services who provide support to young people and their families.

Beaches Youth Hub
Beaches Youth Hub is a collaboration of youth services coming together to support young people in Pittwater.

Burdekin
Burdekin works with the community to offer an integrated approach to solving issues of child and youth homelessness.

Catholic Care Drug and Alcohol Youth Support Services (DAYSS)
DAYSS is a voluntary, free and confidential drug and alcohol service on the Northern Beaches and the Lower North Shore for people aged 12 – 24 years old.

EPIC - Empowering Parents In Crisis
A community building peer support platform for parents & carers of young people, by parents & carers of young people.

headspace Brookvale
headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds.

LocalKind
A community-based organisation supporting vulnerable and at-risk people with a range of services for domestic & family violence, homelessness, refugees and families, youth and children.

Mission Australia
Mission Australia's nationwide services help combat homelessness, provide housing, assist struggling families and children, address mental health issues, fight substance dependencies, support people with disability and more.

MOWANA safe space
A free support service by life-experienced “community guides” for local people to come in to chat and be heard, not to be judged.

A leading provider of relationship support services for individuals, families and communities.

Share The Spark
Share the Spark is a non-profit on the Northern Beaches of Australia focused on helping youth find the SPARK that leads towards a fulfilling life. 

Streetwork – Youth Mentoring
A unique service that matches vulnerable young people with qualified Youth Caseworkers to guide them through a personal turnaround.

Sydney Drug Education & Counselling Centre (SDECC)
SDECC offers cost-free drug and alcohol counselling support for young people aged 12 – 25 years.

Taldumande
Taldumande supports, encourages and empowers vulnerable children, young people and their families through crisis response, residential care and specialised case work.

Youth Up Front
Youth Up Front is a registered Australian charity that helps young people transition from adolescence to adulthood.

The Parent Workshop

If you’re looking for ways to help you learn more about your teen and how to stay connected with them then The Parent Workshop program offered by Council’s Adolescent and Family Counselling team is for you. The program encourages you to gain greater self-awareness, self-confidence and resilience in managing your own emotions while helping your teen to do the same.

The Parent Workshop comprises six sessions and is run through the Manly Adolescent and Family Counselling Service.

PCYC Northern Beaches

PCYC Northern Beaches is a purpose built facility, built by Northern Beaches Council and run by the Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC NSW), offering a vibrant and welcoming space for young people and the wider community.

The PCYC have a long history of working with youth, developing positive life skills, and fitness. Along with a number of recreation and sporting activities run out of the centre, the PCYC also offers a youth Drop In space, and a police mentoring program for disengaged young people. With 120 additional commuter parking spaces the Northern Beaches PCYC offers a larger integrated carpark benefitting the whole community with its proximity to busy transport routes.

Discobility Junior

If you are a young person with disability and like to dance, come along to Discobility Junior - a fun event for high school students with a disability. Bring your carers, bring your siblings and bring your friends. Discobility is a great way to socialise and have fun.

LGBTQ+ Social Group

Join us at a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ youth and allies with group activities, workshops and free food. Meets fortnightly on Thursday 6-8pm within school term. 

Northern Beaches Youth Interagency

Northern Beaches Youth Interagency (NBYI) is the local youth interagency network for services supporting young people aged 12 – 24 years. NBYI is an incorporated interagency that covers the Northern Beaches area from Palm Beach in the North, Mosman in the south and west as far as Roseville Bridge. The interagency is driven by an executive team, which includes Council's Community Development Team, that supports advocacy, professional development and connectivity within the youth services sector.

General Meetings are held bi-monthly to provide a forum for information exchange, investigation, lobbying, providing advice and linking services.
