As part of Council’s support for local businesses and for the wider benefit of the community, we are looking to promote the sustainable activities and/or initiatives of local businesses or community groups.

We’re seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from businesses, organisations and community groups that are delivering activities or initiatives aligned Waste and Circular Economy Strategy -  Rethink. Reduce. Reuse. We want to hear from you if you would like to be involved in marketing activities promoting various aspects of the circular economy.

1. Eliminating waste
2. Easy to use waste service
3. Tackling priority waste
4. Green and clean environment
5. Council leading the way

We’re looking for businesses that:

• provide the opportunity for items to be reused, repaired, shared or recycled.
• share used material for reuse and recycling
• increase recycling opportunities 
• provide better options for collection of ‘problem’ waste (i.e., chemicals, e-waste and textiles)
• tackle organic waste or single use plastics
• assist with litter prevention

Examples of possible activities or initiatives that align with our strategy are, but not limited to: 

• reuse
• repair
• share or recycling programs
• returnable cups or food containers
• community composting
• local recycling or repair programs for bicycles, timber, child car seats, polystyrene, baby goods, toys,
• electrical goods, manchester, and bric-à-brac.

Businesses accepted into the EOI will be added to our list of local businesses that have expressed interest in promotional activities with Council, for a 12 month period. During this time, we may or may not contact businesses to request participation in:

• interviews, including media interviews
• case studies 
• involvement in social media and other marketing communication
• photography and videography opportunities.

Please note: If you put forward an EOI and we contact you to be part of a promotional campaign, you will need to confirm that you have no outstanding debts or DAs with Council and you must disclose any actual, perceived or potential conflict of interest.
