Wyatt Avenue Bike Park opens Monday 30 January
A new bike park is just around the corner for Northern Beaches riders with the much-anticipated Wyatt Avenue Bike Park opening its gates to the public on Monday 30 January.
Located in Wyatt Avenue Belrose, the new bike park is geared towards mountain bikers of all ages who are new to the sport and looking to hone their skills in a beginner friendly environment before progressing to more advanced locations such as Bare Creek and Manly Dam.
With the support of local mountain biking advocacy and consultancy group Trail Care, the final design is based on direct feedback from skills coaches and local parents of riders. The outcome is a bike park that has been built with a clear understanding of community needs.
Beginner friendly design features include a trail loop, climb and decent section, technical features, a bike launching area, and more. A viewing platform and picnic area with seating have also been included, perfect for tired riders and parents watching over their children.
The opening and ribbon cutting will be held at 10am Monday 30 January and will be attended by Member for Davidson Jonathan O’Dea MP, Northern Beaches Mayor Michael Regan, Matt Ward from Trail Care, and Julian Wilcock, Principal at the adjacent John Colet School.
The park will be open to the public once the opening event has taken place.
So, pump up your tires and get your protective gear ready because Wyatt Avenue Bike Park is just around the corner!
