Council Lifeguards
Professional Council lifeguards patrol our surf beaches to help keep you safe. We patrol Manly all year round, Dee Why and Freshwater from September till the end of May. Most other surf beaches are patrolled from the end of September until the end of April, every day from 9am - 5pm and sometimes longer in the summer peak. If you need to contact the Lifeguard Radio Base (September-May) call 9942 2120.
Please remember to swim between the flags and as much as we love our pets there are no dogs allowed on our beaches or rockpools.
Beachwatch
Beachwatch recommend you avoid swimming for three days after heavy rain. Check the Beachwatch reports.
Beachsafe
Brought to you by Surf Life Saving Australia, this site includes the location, facilities, weather, conditions and lifesaving services for Australian beaches. Check Beachsafe conditions.
