Have you seen Manly Library lately?

During April it became an artist's canvas and now the outside walls display a giant, colourful mural. The artwork is bold, extraordinary and beautiful and has given new life to the space.

The mural is all thanks to local artist Miguel Gonzalez (@mlon) and the Federal Government Safer Communities Fund. It is entitled 'Just a Glimpse' and is a representation of  all the things that remind us of Manly. By adapting to the building's architectural features, the mural wraps around the curves and contours with a design that is reminiscent of a comic strip. Each section tells a story and will either take you back to a memory or welcome you to the community. Manly Library is a public space where people from all over come together so it is the perfect space for a mural that aims to encourage integration and connectivity within the local and wider community.
