Immerse yourself in a celebration of creation, independent publishing, and artistic expression. Browse and buy unique zines, comics, artist books, prints and merchandise from local and international artists and zine-makers. Whether you're a dedicated collector or discovering zines for the first time, you'll find plenty to explore. (See stallholders below!)
What is a zine
Short for 'magazine' - think comics art, DIY publishing and creative chaos. zero rules, just creativity.
The annual Northern Beaches Zine Fair is an opportunity to showcase your creative talent or discover emerging local and international creatives.

Join artist-led workshops throughout the day in the Creative Library and connect with a thriving community of makers, storytellers and creatives.
How to Make a Zine
10.15 - 11.15am
Using recycled cards you will be cutting, collaging, drawing and writing on then staple them together to turn into a small personalised DIY mini booklets or magazines called 'zines'.
$5 + booking fee. Bookings essential.
How to Design Your Own Manga Character with Queenie Chan
11am - 12pm
This workshop will focus on how to draw a manga face and help you think about how you might design your character's clothing, and how to pair that up with a short backstory.
Ages 9 - 12 years old.

How to Make a Zine Game with Lauren Metzler
12.30 - 1.30pm
Create a mini-zine and solo role-playing game adventure using just one sheet of paper and a dice. Roll to discover your hero, quest, and challenges, then draw and journal your story as it unfolds.
Ages 8 - 12 years old.
$5 + booking fee. Bookings essential.

Inspired by the stallholders? Create your own zine at our zine station using the Library's art materials and craft supplies with a zine template.
