Labour Day Public Holiday Closures
All Northern Beaches libraries, including community libraries, will be closed Monday 5 October 2026 for the Labour Day
public holiday.
Return chutes will remain open and 24/7 library access will be available for authorised members.

Located at Avalon, Seaforth, Freshwater and Terrey Hills, the four Northern Beaches community libraries are run by dedicated volunteers.

What's involved in a community library membership?
- Items borrowed from your community library will need to be returned to the same library.
- Northern Beaches Library cards and items are not accepted at community libraries except Avalon library.
- Community libraries are closed on public holidays.
