We’re launching a trial Story Time designed for adults living with cognitive disabilities and the people who support them.

Join us at your local library for a calm, friendly session with stories, music and craft. Enjoy reading, singing and interactive activities that help you explore the world of books at your own pace.

We keep groups small, up to five adults plus support workers, so everyone feels included. After the session, you’re welcome to stay, finish your craft and spend time in the library.

What to expect

• 30 minutes of stories and songs
• 15 minutes of craft time
• A relaxed, supportive space

These 45-minute sessions will be held monthly at each branch from May to November 2026.

Come along, meet others and enjoy a comfortable space where activities are gentle on the senses and encourage adults with intellectual and cognitive disabilities to explore the world of books at their own pace.
