Northern Beaches Council invites all carers to take time out and participate in a range of activities that focus on relaxing and having fun during National Carers Week.

National Carers Week (14-20 October) recognises and celebrates the outstanding contribution Australia’s 2.7 million unpaid carers make to our country.

Mayor Michael Regan said carers find it difficult to take a break, because of the often demanding nature of their work.

“This is why National Carers Week 2018 on the Northern Beaches includes a range of free activities focused on getting together and having fun.

“If you’re a carer or you know someone who’s a carer, let them know about these free activities created just for them,” Mayor Regan said.
