Led by acclaimed Persian-Australian tar virtuoso and composer Hamed Sadeghi, the award-winning Eishan Ensemble casts an astonishing spell in a fusion of contemporary and classical music. Described as “Persian chamber jazz” and “Eastern jazz fusion”, Eishan Ensemble defies labels. Sadeghi’s extraordinary musicianship is met by the individual talents of Michael Avgenicos (saxophone), Adem Yilmaz (percussions), and Maximillian Alduca (double bass), to create a dynamic and sophisticated soundscape not to be missed.

Exhibition: The Water Understands
This event is on during The Water Understands exhibition, a contemporary interrogation of water as a life-giving element, whose importance to humanity has been examined from multiple angles for thousands of years. Artists make work about it, scientists experiment with it, and poets write about it.
