Experience the enchanting melodies of L’Heure Exquise, an exquisite program featuring the remarkable talents of Lousic Dulbecco, Principal Harpist of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and Christina Leonard, one of Australia’s leading saxophonists.
The program weaves a rich musical tapestry: Henri Eccles' Sonata in G minor, Ida Gotkovsky's Éolienne for alto saxophone and harp and Mussorgsky’s hauntingly beautiful The Old Castle from Pictures at an Exhibition, four elegant French songs: Claude Debussy’s Beau soir & Nuit d’étoiles, Gabriel Fauré’s Au bord de l’eau and Reynaldo Hahn’s L’heure exquise and for a solo harp moment, Gabriel Fauré’s Une châtelaine en sa tour. Australian composers are also represented with Jessica Wells’ Sati and Gerard Brophy’s Constantinopolis.
An unique and alluring concert performed by two exceptional artists!
