Why buy when you can borrow? We’ve partnered with the Sydney Library of Things to provide the Sydney Library of Things – Northern Beaches. The new location at Cromer Community Centre is open on Saturdays, 9am - 12 noon.
What is a Library of Things?
The Sydney Library of Things (LoT) is a not-for-profit service that provides the local community with access to a collection of extremely useful but only occasionally used items that can be loaned out for a short period of time.
It is like a normal library but with things instead of books! Things include tools, garden maintenance equipment, sewing machines, sustainable party supplies, kitchen appliances that support sustainable living lifestyles and much more.
‘Things’ are donated from people who no longer have use or room for the item and are then tested ready for borrowing.
- Join and borrow: Create an account and begin borrowing at any of the Library of Things branches. Browse our online inventory of all available items. Please note: There are limited items on view at present but our volunteers are working hard to prepare and upload the hundreds of items we have available for use over the summer holidays and beyond.
- Donated items: Thank you for your support, but we are not accepting donations at this time.
- Join the volunteer team: Learn new skills, get a free membership and make a difference! Register your interest
Donations update
At this time, we are not accepting donations. We appreciate your generosity and support and we'll update this page when we are ready to receive donated items again.
Note: This will be a Click & Collect service only. All ‘Things’ orders will be placed in advance online.
