As we all spend more time at home, the library has been looking at ways we can help keep you occupied and entertained.

We have purchased some brand new content for our Overdrive collection but it may not be what you are expecting...

You can now borrow eMagazines! We have a collection of over 20 popular titles that you can borrow and read instantly. You will find titles such as Forbes, Australian Women's Health, Popular Science, BBC History Revealed and more.

If you would like to check out this new collection on your mobile device, download the Libby by Overdrive app. You can also read an eMagazine on your PC or laptop through your browser by borrowing directly from the Overdrive website

We have also added a collection of exercise videos! That's right, we live in a world now where your library card is your gym card. In this new collection, you will find videos for yoga, yoga for kids, Pilates, cardio exercises and more.

You don't need to download any video files, they work like a streaming service. Simply select play after you have borrowed the video. Streaming videos can consume a lot of data, so we recommend streaming over a Wi-fi connection.

These videos can be streamed on a PC or laptop as long as you have:

  • Adobe Flash Player, and
  • An up-to-date web browser like Chrome or Firefox for example.

On IOS or Android devices, you will need the Overdrive app with the latest update. Please note that Libby is not compatible with these videos. You can also stream these videos through the browser on your phone; just make sure your phone's software is up to date.

We hope you enjoy watching these new exercises videos and reading the eMagazines.
