Popular items can often have long hold queues so why not look for available items? Here are our tips for checking to see if items are available so your Library2U order can be delivered as quickly as possible.

While you can place reservations on items currently on-loan, checking availability provides a guarantee that you will have something to read soon.

Let our librarians choose for you

Our Librarian’s Choice service is always available to take the hassle out of choosing the books you want delivered. Our expert librarians pick items based on your reading preferences and suggestions - always picking items that are available for delivery.

Selecting your own items

Using either our app or website, open the library catalogue to access our collection. You can search by title, author name or genre you are interested in. This will bring up all related items, whether out on loan or available right now.

How to check availability on the website

Select the title you’re interested in from the catalogue search results. You will be able to see whether the item is available by selecting the ‘Check Availability’ button next to the name of the title.

How to check availability on the library app

Use the search bar at the top of the app to browse our catalogue. Once you’ve found something you’re interested in, select the title and scroll to the bottom to see availability.
