Acacia longifolia

One of the best-known native plants in the Sydney district – widespread from the coast to the mountains.

A hardy, fast-growing, sun-loving, shrub to small tree (2-4m) common along roadsides with conspicuous showy yellow flowers. Found naturally in both forest and woodland on low-lying sandy soils. Tolerant of a wide range of soil types, offering great screening and habitat for small birds.
