Regent Honeyeaters are medium sized birds.

They are semi-nomadic and have had their habitat reduced by land clearing.

You can see the Honeyeater in lowland coastal areas when swamp mahogany is in flower during autumn and spring.

They nest in eucalypts, mistletoe clumps and casuarinas during the breeding season, July to November.
