The Brown Antechinus is a small carnivorous marsupial found in woodland and forest habitats.

It is mostly nocturnal, coming out at night to hunt insects such as beetles, spiders, cockroaches and sometimes small reptiles and frogs.

During the day, they can be found in large communal nests in tree hollows, crevices or ground logs.
