Who’s your everyday hero? That special person – or people - going above and beyond to make your community even better?  
We all know one – a friend, neighbour, workmate or sports club member - in the background making things happen.  Whether it’s raising funds, mentoring, advocating for change or quietly helping others, right across the Northern Beaches regular people are making an extraordinary difference to the Northern Beaches community.

Sometimes being a hero happens in an instant; an everyday person who - by chance - selflessly puts others before themselves.  

Everyday heroes like these don’t seek glory, but they deserve recognition and need celebrating.  It’s up to you to nominate your hero and get them the recognition they deserve.

Help us all recognise these community-hero’s by nominating them for the 2026 Australia Day Awards.
