More than 80,000 people enjoyed two days of fun in the sun at last weekend’s Taste of Manly festival.

Now in its 33rd year, organisers couldn’t have asked for better weather for the popular community event, as punters sampled a wide array of fantastic local food, our very own Northern Beaches brews and Australian wine in a chilled and relaxed atmosphere in and around Manly Beach.

Local bands, DJs and buskers across several outdoor stages also kept the crowd entertained.

The newly introduced ‘Havana Beach Bowls and BBQ’ down on the sand proved to be a massive hit, with one guest overheard comparing the surroundings to a ‘day on the Greek island Mykonos.’

Northern Beaches Council Mayor Michael Regan was thrilled with all the positive feedback surrounding a Taste of Manly.

“The weather could not have been better, and it was terrific to see so many people out in force enjoying themselves.

“From the music to the food and of course the local breweries and Australian wines on offer, it was great to see Manly looking so good.

“Taste of Manly is definitely one of the highlights on the northern beaches social calendar,’’ the Mayor said.
