Northern Beaches Council is holding three interactive workshops in November designed to support and empower parents, carers and teenagers.

The free sessions will cover a range of topics, offering knowledge and practical strategies to promote healthy relationships and behaviours.

Building Healthy Relationships with Young Teens
Tuesday 21 November, 6.30 - 8.30pm at Mona Vale Memorial Hall

An early intervention workshop designed to help parents and carers approach difficulties in relationships, negotiate and set boundaries, while maintaining mutual respect with younger teens aged 11 - 15. It will be hosted by Council’s Youth and Family Counsellor.

Positive Parenting Evening
Wednesday 22 November, 7 - 9pm at Barrenjoey High School, Avalon

For parents and carers, this workshop offers a formula for building positive family relationships by promoting social connections and a healthier lifestyle for teenagers. It will be presented by Gitta Laub, the Child and Adolescent Parenting Educator at Northern Sydney Local Health District.

Improve Your Teen’s Sleep
Thursday 23 November, 6.30 – 7.30pm at Northern Beaches Council Civic Centre, Dee Why
Hosted by Lisa Maltman from The Sleep Connection, this workshop is for parents, carers and teens and is designed to help them make informed decisions about sleep health and treatment options.
