Avalon Recreation Centre will be bursting at the seams with amazing works by local artists when Summer Art Space arrives in January.

Now in its 14th year, the exhibition runs Saturday 6 - Sunday 14 January and will fill every room in the building with art of all types including painting, sculpture, photography, textiles and more.

Opening night will be celebrated on Friday 5 January from 6 - 8pm and all are welcome to attend.

Both established and emerging artists will be on show, including Peta Dzubiel who is offering a new series of oil paintings featuring local beaches, and Diezel, who creates large-scale colourful dog paintings.

Summer Art Space will be followed by an exhibition featuring artists from local arts hub Sydney Art Space from Thursday 18 - Sunday 21 January.

Both the Summer Art Space and Sydney Art Space exhibitions run 10am - 5pm daily and offer free entry with artworks available for purchase.
