Everyone is invited to warm up this winter at the chilled out Rise Manly event, a vibrant celebration set to take place sunrise to sundown and beyond from 20 - 29 June.

This collaboration between local businesses and Council promises to be an unforgettable experience, filled with entertainment, delicious food, and a unique display of winter-themed activities, designed to cater to all ages and interests.

Mayor Sue Heins expressed her enthusiasm for the festival, saying, "Rise Manly is a fantastic opportunity to support our local businesses and bring people together.

“The festival aims to create a lively atmosphere that showcases the unique character and culture of Manly whether that’s grabbing a unique gift at the day and night markets, chilling out with the ocean swim or indulging in some local delicacies.

“Events like these showcase the vibrant culture of Manly and provide a platform for businesses to thrive.

 “We look forward to seeing everyone come together to celebrate and enjoy the festivities," Mayor Heins said.

 Local businesses are set to shine during the festival, offering special events and promotions that will enhance the overall experience. All the details are available on the risemanly.com.au website and highlights include:

  • Manly Pavilion Precinct Activations: European Ski Village styling, winter cocktail menu, winter food offerings, inflatable igloo installation, and entertainment including DJs, fire dancing, and ice sculptures 
  • Ice Cold Classic: Celebrate the winter solstice and support those in need with a 1km swim followed by a warm mug of soup
  • Snorkelling during the Cuttlefish Mating Season: They say it's warmer in the water so join a snorkelling experience to see the giant cuttlefish light up the ocean with hypnotic displays - a rare and magical experience
  • Desire Books & Records: An evening of live folk blues band music, plus a rising singer song writer and poetry from one of the nation’s biggest names
  • Cibaria Manly: Experience an unforgettable afternoon with two of Australia’s most celebrated Italian chefs, Alessandro Pavoni and Giovanni Pilu followed by a decadent lunch.
  • Shady's Laneway Rise & Melt: Enjoy this hidden hole in the wall offering Swiss-inspired street food complete with raclette cheese melted and scraped fresh in front of guests for that extra bit of theatre
