Northern Beaches Council has completed the latest stage of the Dee Why Town Centre revitalisation, with the upgrade of Redman Road Plaza finished and open to the public.

Mayor Michael Regan said the $2 million upgrade brings the western side of Pittwater Road to life.

“By creating an attractive, must-visit location, this project has transformed the space into a welcoming and vibrant pedestrian plaza which will encourage more people to the area.

“In turn, this will generate investment and promote social interaction, helping transform Dee Why into a premier commercial and residential destination.

“The new plaza has had very strong community support and I would like to thank the local businesses for being patient during the upgrade,” Mayor Regan said.

Features of the project include:

- new comfortable seating areas

- a water feature

- hanging gardens and planters

- integrated public art

- a suspended lighting system for added night time ambience and security.
